Dry Sensitive Skin

The Dry Sensitive Skin Type is characterized by being:

  • dry, flakey, itchy, inflamed, burning, dehydrated
  • redness, flushing, facial veins, possible rosacea
  • personal or family history of eczema or atopic dermatitis
  • skin worse in dry, cold, windy climates or changes in climate
  • more susceptible to skin allergies--hyper reactive to so many skincare products
  • cracked dry hands and other areas of the skin with colder weather or exposure to detergents/other irritants

Your skin type needs to focus on selecting skincare products that:

  • hydrating the skin (dehydration triggers inflammation)
  • rebuilding the cell walls and skin barrier
  • calming the inflammation
  • avoid exposure to detergents, soaps, harsh chemicals, cold/dry/windy climates, or anything that causes irritation to your skin
  • select moisturizers with: cholesterol, fatty acids, ceramides to rebuild your skin barrier
